Service

Structured Cabling

Everything else rides on the cabling. Proper pathways, proper termination, and proper labeling are what make a network serviceable years later.

What this service covers

Structured cabling is the physical backbone of a building's network, surveillance, access, and low-voltage systems. Done well, it is invisible, documented, and easy to work on. Done badly, every future change becomes an expensive investigation.

Central Coast Surveillance installs CAT5e and CAT6 cabling with proper pathways, dressed and labeled terminations, and organized racks and enclosures: for new construction, remodels, and retrofits of existing buildings.

Problems this solves

  • Undocumented cabling nobody can trace
  • Runs exceeding distance limits or damaged during installation
  • Unmanaged cable bundles in closets and racks
  • Insufficient drops forcing daisy-chained switches
  • Network problems that are actually cabling problems

Capabilities

  • CAT5e and CAT6 installation
  • New construction, remodel, and retrofit cabling
  • Pathway design, conduit, and cable management
  • Patch panel, rack, and enclosure installation
  • Termination, labeling, and documentation
  • PoE cabling for cameras, access points, and devices
  • Testing and certification of installed runs
